It's good to be back

It's funny whilst I was away I wondered how I would feel when I got back and if things would feel different - you know after all the stuff you had seen on your own whilst you were travelling. Would you ever be able to share all your adventures with your nearest and dearest?

Whilst in no way have i been able to tell everyone every minutae of my trip (although i suspect Rich has heard most of it) it feels really nice to be home. I could only envisage one problem which was that i would not have any big things to look forward to and of course on that score I was clearly wrong. Once I get my dissertation done and out of the way Rich and I can begin to plan for our wedding in earnest. I am absolutely adament that this is NOT going to take over my life, although it is quite exciting :)

Whilst the first two weeks felt like a bed of roses, the reality of being back home is now taking its toll on the both of us. I wrote an email to a friend recently telling her that as a child we have much more fun this is because adult life is bloody tough. However being an adult also has its plus side, we can get married (yep that's me and you baby), we can have babies (good luck Chloe, due in ten days), we can hang out in spa's with our friends (thanks girls for a fab night), we can afford to buy lovely clothes (that will be me when i get paid on Thursday) AND we can plan our next trip away (that's you Charlie going away for a year with Tim) and spend our time fantasising about what the world has in store for us, tomorrow, the day after or next year. Yep, being an adult is tough but if you are in good company then it is so much easier.

Cherish every moment my dears .......
